Dear Guests,

On behalf of the Granbury Fishing Lodge (GFL), we would like to extend a warm welcome to you! We are thrilled that you have chosen to stay with us, and we want to make your visit as memorable as possible.

Our lodge is nestled in a stunning natural setting, in a bay immediately adjacent to the mouth of the Brazos River and surrounded by plenty of foliage and picturesque lake views at the north end of Lake Granbury. GFL has a dock that you are free to use however, the water levels at this location are best suited for low-draft boats and watercraft. Although the area is perfect for swimming, kayaking, and paddle-boarding, surf boats or other deep-draft boats are not advised.

The serene environment promises to offer you a peaceful and relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet only 12 minutes to downtown Granbury. You will find plenty of opportunities to connect with nature and explore the lake, and we hope that your stay with us will be a refreshing break from your busy routines. Since the bay water level varies between three to six feet overall, there is little to no boat traffic, making it the perfect location to swim, kayak, paddle-board and fish.

We take pride in providing our guests with a safe and secure environment. You can rest assured that our staff is dedicated to ensuring your safety and well-being throughout your stay. We follow all health and safety guidelines, and our facilities are frequently cleaned and sanitized to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness.

As our guests, you will have access to a range of amenities and activities that we have included in your stay. These include a fire pit with firewood, kayaks, a barbecue, a paddle-board, and lots of games for the kids (darts, foosball, corn hole, horseshoes, boardgames, cards, and puzzles) – even a few fishing poles. We want to make sure that you have everything you need to make your visit enjoyable and memorable. There are also lifejackets available for use from small kids sizes to XL adults however, if you require a smaller or larger size, you may want to consider bringing your own. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the modern conveniences – coffee maker, Keurig, blender, toaster, crockpot, microwave, and more. Literally all you have to bring is food and drink!

Animals of any kind are NOT ALLOWED at GFL – NO EXCEPTIONS. We have regular guests and family members that are deftly allergic to pet hair and dander. Per Texas State Law, an animal that provides only comfort or emotional support to a person is NOT A SERVICE ANIMAL. Only animals trained to perform a specific task in order to help a person with a disability directly related to the person’s disability qualify as service animals.

Check-in is at 3PM. In-season (April thru September), it’s rare that we can offer early check-in or late checkout, as we are often booked back-to-back (people checking out at 11AM, and people checking in at 3PM on the same day), so if you ask, and we can’t accommodate your request, we hope you understand.

No matter what time y’all arrive, Kelly and I greet all of our guests to provide gate access (you can’t get in without meeting us) and give a quick tour of the property (where lights are, how to access activities, etc), so please reach out to us before your arrival to insure that no one has to wait when you arrive, and plan on calling us enroute to keep us updated on your arrival time.

Once again, we would like to welcome you to GFL. We hope that your stay with us will be an unforgettable experience, and that you will leave feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. If you have any questions or concerns during your stay, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our friendly staff, who are always available to assist you. You can call or txt us at 817-904-FISH (3474).

Thank you for choosing Granbury Fishing Lodge for your next vacation. We look forward to hosting you and providing you with a memorable experience.

Best regards,

Steve & Kelly Place
